  • Fair 2014

Faverolles are one of my all time favorite breeds of chicken. Originating from France as a dual purpose bird, they are friendly, peaceful with barnyard companions, and are the ultimate, traditional farm chicken.

I am so thankful for a fellow poultry enthusiast for allowing us to make use of some beautiful Faverolles that didn't fit in with his own breeding plans, leaving us in the fortuitous position of having a few more bloodlines with which to work, Thanks Mr, Yocum!

Weird Altitude: Salmon Rooster

This one is a replacement for Weird Al, my first faverolles rooster that stole my heart. Altitude is my prized rooster at the moment. Faverolles are one of my all time favorite chicken breeds. I love the beards, the body colors and the mellow temperament. Fresno 2012

Alzenheimer: Salmon Rooster
1st place, Best of Division, Best Standard, Reserve Overall Best of Show Champion, Kings Fair 2014

Altitude (Fresno)/ Summer (Sandhill) lines #1, 2013
Alzenheimer won the Reserve Overall Best of Show Champion of our County Fair!!!!!

He only lost to a stunning little silkie Pullet that we gave to our 4H friend just a few months ago, so we are happy to take a second to her!

The pictures from the fair were terrible, as he was constantly putting his tail up against the bars or standing really weird.... this pic is from a few months ago.
