Standard Chickens
StinkyWeed: Bearded Cochin Hen
This pretty girl is one of our own creations. She was bred and hatched here in the incubator. While chickens do tend to smell a little, this little girl stunk to high heaven right from the start! She was an only chick for awhile so she became quite tame as we were her main company. She is a big, beautiful, old girl. Love that beard!
Alexis: Ameraucana Hen
Alexis is pure ameraucana from my lavender pen out of Sand Hill Preservation center. She is a beautiful stocky girl. This is one of my most favorite chickens of all times. She lays a deep turquoise colored egg.
Purple Poppy: Ameraucana Hen
Poppy is directly from Sand Hill Preservation Center. She is the mom to Alexis. Poppy lays the darkest turquoise eggs I have ever seen...They are just beautiful! She is a very shy bird.
Amie and Amalie: Ameraucana Hens
Amie won a 1st place and Amalie won a 2nd in the Kings Fair 2014
Amy and Amalie are identical, pure white ameraucanas from a breeder in Southern California.
Shadow: Ameraucana Hen
Lacey La Rue: Blue Laced Red Wyandotte Hen
This little girl loves to brood on the marble eggs in the feed bin.
Madamoiselle Lemon Aida: Mixed Breed Hen
Her mom is Lacey La Rue. She has a nice golden color to her head is a very sturdy bodied hen. When Lemon was a baby she had a broken leg. We were able to set it and confine her well enough so she was able to heal.
Blue Coraline: Blue Copper Maran
Blue Copper Maran Hen. Cora lays nice dark brown eggs.
Mary Daisy Dinkle: Splash Copper Maran
Mary is a Maran, though she is a very pale splash color. She is named after a favorite character from a movie I enjoy. I am afraid she LOVES to bathe in the dirt and this is the best picture I have of her...where you can identify her at least.
Olive Oyle: Olive Egger
Olive is a solid black hen that lays olive green colored eggs. She is a mix between a maran and an ameraucana.
