I reserve the right to retain any animal for my own herd and to use my discretion in choosing buyers for any animal offered for sale. I want a great match between buyers and animals and I will try my best to be sure the goats personality and quality match a buyers needs as well as I can.
I love my animals and I work hard to keep my herd healthy. Please keep in mind before you buy.... Goats are the naughty children of the animal world! I love them, but they can be a handful and they will get into everything the first chance they get!
I can not guarantee the health of any animal once it leaves the farm. I can not control if the goat is too cold or too hot on the trip home with you, your husbandry or feeding practices, or the availability of adequate shelter and nutrition once the goat leaves my care.
By purchasing an animal from me, you are promising to:
Feed appropriate and nutritious food in adequate amounts. This means good quality hay, grain or pellets as necessary, goat minerals and fresh water.
Provide good, draft free housing and adequate fencing to contain and protect your new goat.
Veterinary care as needed.
Deworm when necessary for the health and well being of this animal. Goats get worms from the environment and sometimes have them dormant in their bodies. I absolutely advise having a fecal run by your vet to determine when deworming or treating for coccidia is necessary. I also recommend deworming your goat as soon as you bring it home as stress, like moving to a new home, can bring on a parasite bloom. I do not indiscriminately worm my whole herd. I am concerned with drug resistance and I am currently working on a deworming protocol for my farm. At the moment I am using chemical dewormers based on an animals condition as fecals or body condition indicate the need.
I also can not guarantee the showability of any animal, or how the animal will turn out as it grows. However, I want to be able to show my own animals someday and I am breeding towards bettering each generation by carefully selecting pairings when I breed. I will tell you if the animal has anything that I am aware of that would be a disqualification and my best, educated guess on the show potential of your new friend.
All sales are final and 'as is'.
Thank you for considering our animals as potential new recruits to your animal adventures! I hope we can find you the best fit for your lifestyle.
